few questions ladies :)

1. Best drugstore/cheapy toner? I've been using Lush's Tea Tree Water toner and I like it alot, but the nearest lush is about an hour away. Ordering online is fine, but i'm always afraid i'm gonna run short and it be easier just to be able to run to the store to grab something.

2. Anyone have any experience with Victoria Secret's makeup line? If so, give me some product recs! I wanna try some items but i'm unsure on what to try.

MAC Cleanser
I have a gift card for MAC, and I'd like to get a nice cleanser. Any recommendations? I"m intrigued by the volcanic ash exfoliator. Anyone have any experience with that product?

Another leave-in conditioner question (plus lip gloss)
I checked the one a few posts back but it didn't quite answer my question, so.

I have very curly, dry hair that was about to my chin. I just got it cut yesterday into a shorter, mop type cut that I like a lot. My stylist did it with just some leave-in conditioner (the Bumble and Bumble brand) and I loved the way it turned out. Normally I use a rinse-out conditioner, a curl cream, and a max-hold gel, but I'm wondering if I can't consolidate that routine.

I know the b&B leave-in is meant for use as a light styler and has some hold. BUT IT IS SO EXPENSIVE. Are there any other leave-ins you girls like that can be used as a styling product as well? Cone-free is a must because I don't shampoo, natural is a plus.

Also, recommendations for a light, moisturizing clear lip gloss? Don't want anything too high shine, just something to make me look a little more polished when I'm not doing a full face. I love my Stila lip glazes but they are a production to put on sometimes.

Looking for new friends~

A lot of my friends are now inactive on Livejournal. It's super depressing. Hmm. What am I looking for in an LJ-friend? I don't know:

-Hopefully, we have a few things in common (see interests in profile) and we're around the same age (how about we say between 16-22).

-I'd also prefer that my new LJ friends are somewhat educated. I'm so tired of morons. Haha.

-Update/comment frequently, please? I like reading and commenting on entries. Kind of expect the same.

-I prefer individuals who do not write about sex, violence, or drugs. I don't mind people who swear, but when entries are LITTERED with choice words, they're fucking unreadable.

A bit about me? Well, I'm sort of boring. I play it safe, play by the rules. I am a student (perhaps for the rest of my life) and I write a lot about school. Also write about my family, my bad habits, and my uninteresting hobbies. I'm a nice person though! Hopefully most of you guys are too.

Sizes and weight expectations
There's something that's been bothering me in regards to dieting or losing weight. Mainly, when do you know you should stop? Do you stop when you're comfortable or do you keep on going, assuming you don't become anorexic? I'm wondering, as, for the past year, I've been losing weight by counting calories and exercising. I try to not eat more thn 1500 calories per day and have tried to do a combination of lifting weights and cardio. I went from being 5'6 and 148 lbs to 125 lbs. My original goal was 130 lbs, which was my weight in college, except when I got back there again, I thought I looked too stocky and wanted to lose more weight.

In terms of size, what does "small frame," "medium frame," or "large frame" mean in terms of weight? I've been told I have broad shoulders and have a medium frame, but does this actually mean anything for losing weight? Should all women who are 5'6 be aiming for weights between 115 and 120, regardless of frame? Should all women be aiming to fit in a size zero or two? For me, I'm thinking I'll look less stocky if I get around 115 lbs, but friends have told me that seems too thin for my frame.

Once you've reached a comfortable weight, how do you stay there? I joined Spark People about a year ago, but they don't seem to have as much information about what to do once you've reached your goal.

hilights on a budget.
I have brown hair with blonde and red hilights now. My roots are growing in and I decided that I would rather have my hair brown with blonde hilights only. Too many colors in my hair looks distracting at times. Anyways, should I just dye all my hair brown at home myself and then go to the salon and have them do the blonde hilights? I am trying to be cost effective here. (:

product review: butter london nail polish
So I bought this off of RueLaLa.com the other week:

It went on really smoothly in the recommended 2 coats. The color is more vibrant than in the picture (which I loved). It dries pretty quickly, but it has a slightly different odor to it than other nail polishes (likely due to the lack of chemicals it advertises and boasts about). The one thing I didn't like was that it seemed to have more of a matte finish than other nail polishes (like O.P.I.), but this was quickly remedied by applying my favorite top coat... might not be a negative if you like matte finished polish. Overall, I am really excited. I also bought two more colors: mariner (an aqua-green) and a gold taupe... anxious to try them out next time!

Hey Ladies,

I'm currently growing out my hair, and its coming along, but I have been using cheap shampoo (cause I've been broke) and its not as soft/shiny/healthy as it usually is. I'm looking for some kind of color shampoo that is going to leave my hair super soft (shiny is def a plus). I prefer to buy something at like Rite Aide or another drug store, but I will go to the salon if needed.

Any suggestions?

last time i went to the hair salon to get some new conditioner i asked which one i should get for my oily/fine hair- big sexy hair or back to basics..i used to use back to basics raspberry almond before they changed the formula (about 4 years ago or so), but now the scent is different. does anyone know if the actual formula is different? anyway, they suggested big sexy hair, saying it is better quality, but it did not do enough for my hair...left it dry, tangled, and not shiny at all. my hair has been overly processed as of lately (i colored it and also i blow dry it every day). so, i was not happy with the big sexy hair, i am considering trying to new back to basics raspberry almond, although i may look for one specifically for fine hair. i also used biolage but i remember that leaving my hair very heavy at some point. i have a sallys card so i might go there and find something there as well but i am lost!! are the sallys generic versions as good as the real thing? also, a different salon i went to used Redken (i believe) and it left my hair soooooo soft and smelled so good. i wish i asked what it was!

Fashion advice
I bought that top and skinny jean. I'm having a hard time deciding what "footwear" will go with that outfit. No high heels or flats. Possibly boots or Vans KVD Slips? Any ideas?

Anyone else notice a lot of hair falling out after dyeing?
I never had this problem until I bleached my hair last summer (professionally) and ever since that time, every time I dye my hair black...my head hurts when I put the dye on..and my hair falls out(especially the front part of my head)..but after 3 months..it grows back out.and I can tell it grows back in because there is so many little flyaway hairs. what the??????? i really like my hair blue black though...I just use regular hair dye at home.I don't leave it in for too long..cuz its not very pleasant..so my hair goes back to brown within a month
what do I do??

Hair dryer recommendations please
So I was blow-drying my hair this morning and my hair dryer made a loud "pop" noise, stopped blowing air and started smoking. -___- Then later my boyfriend wanted to check to make sure it was really broken (as if my telling him that it started producing smoke wasn't enough), plugged it in, turned it own and lo and behold I now own what could be a small flamethrower if I just add some flammable spray.

I've been wanting to upgrade my hairdryer for a little while now, since my hairdryer was some cheap one I bought almost six years ago for $10, but now I really need to so I was wondering what hairdryers you ladies use. Also, what sort of features it has (multiple heat settings, removable filter, retractable cord, etc.).

Solid perfume recommendations?
I fear that I'm allergic or something to spray-on perfumes. Every time I use them, I begin sneezing, and for the longest time I didn't think that the perfumes were the cause of it. I'm pretty sure it's the alcohol I'm allergic to, or whatever it is that makes it so spritzy, so I've decided to make a switch to solid perfumes. Problem is, I live in a town where there's no place that sells any, and driving to a town that does is not feasible at this point in time. That's where the internet comes in!

What sites do you recommend? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to what fragrances are good on me, so I'm willing to try just about anything. I also have slightly sensitive skin, if that changes anything. I've read through the tags, and LUSH and Pacifica have been mentioned, but where else can you lovely ladies point me to?

Warts
I have a plantar that I'm having trouble removing.
I've had luck with these in the past but this one is on the side of my toe :/ so the stick on pads don't stay very well.
Looking for other medicines I can get at the drug store.
